Clarke’s K9’s Dog Walking and Puppy Services

Clarke’s K9’s offer dog walking adventures, puppy visits and one to one puppy training to ensure your furry family members are well taken care of. As a Clarke’s K9’s customer, you’ll feel confident your pet is in the caring and capable hands of a professional.

I also provide complimentary services while doing home visits such as picking up mail, opening and closing blinds, watering plants and putting rubbish out to ensure your home is secure while you are away.

My dog walking, puppy visits and one to one puppy training services are offered in Tranent, Macmerry, Ormiston, Pencaitland, Port Seton, Prestonpans, and surrounding areas.

Each of my services are detailed below:

Dog Walking

Let the adventures begin.

I start with a free dog walking consultation where I come to your home and spend a bit of time with you and your pup. This gives everyone a chance to get to know each other.  You will have the opportunity to see me interacting with your dog, ask any questions, check over my credentials and give any specific instructions which need to be carried out.  This will give you an indication of whether you would feel comfortable leaving your furry friend in my care.

  • They will be taken to a variety of locations to see and experience as much fun and freedom as possible.
  • I believe not only in physical exercise but mental stimulation and socialisation too.
  • My goal is to return your dog to you both physically and mentally satisfied.
  • Your dog will end up having a better social life than you with their canine companions!!
  • The maximum number of dogs that will be walked at once is four.  For safety reasons I cannot accept dogs on group walks who have behavioural issues or have not been neutered.
  • All dogs will be walked on a lead unless I obtain written consent from you and I am happy with your pets recall.

Puppy Care & Training

Puppies require lots of care, attention and interaction during the day, especially if you are away from the home for extended periods of time. The first few months of a puppy’s life help to shape their personality and temperament making it important that the interactions they experience are positive and enjoyable. Each puppy sitting visit will last around 30 minutes and will include

  • Feeding
  • Fresh water change
  • Garden or indoor play
  • A short walk if suitable
  • Cleaning up any accidents
  • Basic puppy training in sit, stay, come and down
  • Plenty of positive human contact

Golden Oldies Visits for Older Animals

Our Golden Oldies service is for your senior pet at home who is at a more chilled out pace in life but still enjoys a short walk or garden play with lots of love and attention to break up their days.

  • Feeding
  • Fresh water change
  • Garden or indoor play
  • A short walk if suitable
  • Cleaning up any accidents
  • Plenty of positive human contact

Cat and Kitten Care

Cat sitting is the purrrfect alternative to catteries.

Arranging in-home pet sitting instead of boarding your cat in a cattery, can help reduce your cat or kitten’s stress while you are away to work or on holiday.

They get to stay in their own environment, sleep in familiar surroundings and receive special one to one attention from me.  I visit once or twice a day to see that your feline friends needs are catered for.  Each visit lasts around 20-30 minutes and includes:

  • Cleaning bowls
  • Feeding
  • Fresh water
  • Cleaning litter trays
  • Playing with your furry friend, if they wish, as we all know its on their terms, not ours
  • Monitoring general well-being
  • Updating their humans

While you are away I can also water plants, pick up your mail, put out your bins and open and close blinds as a complimentary service.

Pack your pup’s bag, it is time for a slumber party!!

Home boarding is a viable alternative to dog boarding kennels for those who prefer to have their pets looked after in a home from home environment.

This service is for existing dog walking clients only as it is vital that your four legged friend feels safe and secure in my care. This can help reduce any stress and anxiety and reduce settling in time.

Your furbaby is never left alone in the house and is treated like one of the family.

Complementary Key Holder Service

I offer a complementary key holder service for my clients.   If you happen to lose your keys or lock yourself out of your house, my Complementary Key Holding Service is a lifesaver. Your keys are stored securely within my property and your details cannot be linked to them.

I make arrangements for you to collect them, saving you the cost of a locksmith or damage to your home.  Please be aware that I hold a Police Scotland background check certificate.
